Week 14: Hollywood Raptor

We must give full credit for this song idea to our friend Sam. We put out a call for short song topics to Twitter, and Sam obviously has a brilliant mind. This song, for those not in the loop, is about how much Jurassic Park changed what Velociraptors look like. The movie made them bigger with different proportions, and also made them super smart and took away their feathers. (To be honest, though, I don't much like the idea of dinosaurs with feathers either.)More than that, of course, this song is about Hollywood's unrealistic image of what people look like. Which is so true and stupid, of course. There's something to be said for "the people" wanting to watch beautiful happy people as recreation instead of just observing the harsh horrible "reality" we face every day. That's true to a degree.I still think the stupid hollywood conspiracy messes up people's (read: my) feelings about themselves and self-esteem and stuff.Anyway, that's why things like The Guild are awesome. Reality is hilarious. And very enjoyable to watch.Anywhoo...We have a show scheduled! We are playing June 11 at Twin Paradox, because we love them.Kk think that's it. Til next week, loves!
